We are incredibly proud to share that our recent Non-Uniform Day raised ¥65,453 for One Foundation, supporting relief efforts for communities affected by the devastating landslides in Nepal and China.
What began as a simple opportunity for students to swap their usual school uniform for their own clothes became something much more meaningful a chance for our whole school community to come together and make a real difference.
Across GOS, students, families and staff showed tremendous generosity. Every contribution, large or small, helped build towards an outstanding final total of ¥65,453.
The funds raised will be donated to One Foundation to support their humanitarian and disaster-relief work for those affected by the landslides.
At Green Oasis School, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. An important part of growing up is learning to recognise when others need support and understanding that our actions can have a positive impact on people beyond our immediate community.
Events such as this give our students an opportunity to put those values into practice. By taking part, they were not just enjoying a non-uniform day; they were contributing to a wider effort to support families and communities facing extraordinarily difficult circumstances.
We would like to say a sincere thank you to all of our parents and families who supported the event. Your generosity made this possible and once again demonstrated the strength and kindness of the GOS community.
We are also proud of our students for embracing the spirit of the day and understanding the important reason behind it.
Thank you, GOS.
