History

Our Story

Green Oasis School was established in 2001 in Shenzhen with a clear vision to provide a high-quality, international education within a nurturing and inclusive environment. Founded to serve both local and expatriate families, we began as a small community with a strong commitment to our guiding principles: Educate, Nurture, Inspire Excellence. From the beginning, the school has embraced the best aspects of the English National Curriculum while integrating elements of the Chinese National Curriculum, ensuring that students develop both global perspectives and a deep appreciation of local culture and language. A key milestone in our development was our accreditation by the Council of International Schools (CIS) in 2019, followed by our recent reaccreditation—both of which reflect the quality of our provision and our alignment with international best practices in education.

Over the past 25 years, Green Oasis School has grown significantly in both size and reputation. It has developed into a well-established internationally-oriented school serving students from Year 1 to Year 9, supported by a diverse and experienced faculty. Alongside its academic growth, the school has strengthened its focus on global citizenship and service learning, bilingual learning, and high-quality teaching and learning practices. Since 2024, our membership in EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools) and NESSIC (Network for Enriching Students and Schools in China) has further strengthened our professional networks and commitment to continuous improvement. Today, Green Oasis is recognised for its strong sense of community and its success in preparing students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
